The Church of St Helens is said to have the most elegant spire in Lincolnshire, 198 feet high, it is similar to nearby Caythorpe and has six tiers of small lucarnes of quatrefoil shape and the spire is crocketed. The spire was reduced in height, but in 1897 Bodley raised it again by seven feet. Parts of the church date back to about 1290, and much dates back to the late 14th century. The chancel was rebuilt in 1874-1876 by Bodley and Garner.
